I love Autumn. There’s nothing that makes me happier than smelling and feeling the change of the seasons from hot and stuffy to fresh and chill. It really helps when I walk into stores and am faced with all of the autumn scents and Halloween decor. It brings an instant smile to my face.

A lot of kids dread the start of the school year, but I actually enjoyed it for the first few months. It was a fresh start that I hadn’t mucked up yet with my poor schoolwork habits or get into obnoxious drama that started to occur with classmates, guys or friends. Knowing I had Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to helped a lot as well. The freshness of the school year matched the season and even when it starts raining, I’m still a happy camper. I’m so sure I’d feel right at home in a location like Seattle.

A gloomy day makes me happy like a nice sunny day usually makes others. Increase my happiness with a little drizzle. Strangely enough, though, I don’t like getting or being wet :P I only wish we experienced more convective activity here in Southern California. Thunderstorms and sudden downpours excited me so much when I lived in South Carolina and other Southern states. I guess it’s appropriate that I was a weather forecaster and maybe it’ll be worth it for me to carry it on in the civilian world. I just have to make the effort and not be afraid to go for it.
