Considering how hard it is to find a job these days, I can not imagine how useless I would be feeling when I have finished with my daily job hunt. I’d have to do something to fill my time, and even better if it’s with something that can help improve my chances to getting hired somewhere. If I were back east, attending a Virginia Cisco Course would be something I’d aim for. Considering the consistent and increasing needs of businesses for electronics, networking and communications technology and services, it can be a fairly decent investment of one’s time and effort. I have friends who could’ve benefited from a Chicago CCNA while they were out their for college.

Once finished with the first course mentioned, a follow up with Virginia MCITP would’ve broaded skills and appeals since it adds another type of system to the repertoire. Knowing more can only help at this point! There’s no way I wouldn’t give a prospective employer any reason to not consider me for a position.

Now, considering I’m not longer in the eastern US, I’d go with a San Diego CCNA. I’ve never had an official course in any sort of computer system, so having something official on record to reinforce the things I say I can do with and on computers will up my appeal should I decide to go out looking for such a job.
