Something random.

My mom bought me a massage for my birthday. Well, she actually bought a massage and put it on a gift card (including the tip) and I just need to schedule to do it. This was back in August, of course and I have yet to get the massage. I’m actually planning on finally doing it this Tuesday! It’ll be my first professional massage ever. I don’t know why I haven’t done it sooner!

I actually believed I may have accidentally thrown the gift card out last week. I started thinking at work where I’d last seen it. I’d put it in the card my mom gave me for my birthday, but I hadn’t seen it lying around. I freaked out a bit, especially not finding where I remember last seeing/putting it. I do so much rearranging of crap in our apartment and throwing out papers that accumulate that I could just imagine it being thrown out, down the garbage chute. CRAP!

Thankfully I found it this Friday when I came home from one of our bi-weekly trips to LA. It was still with my birthday card in the envelope, but laying near my chair where I sit everyday with my laptop. Oh my God, I was so relieved! Needless to say, I moved it to my wallet but not before I almost left it in my work pant pockets and took those off! God, where is my mind sometimes?!

My husband just shared this with me about an hour or so ago and I thought it was pretty amazing. It’s fairly long when you might just want to see the before/middle/after at most, but it shows the amazing effects makeup can be used to create! It’s a girl using make-up and a wig to transform in Jared Leto¹. I swear… It’s uncanny how much she looks like him in the end! Having that kind of skill with makeup isn’t something you see everyday.

A website.

This is actually a tough one, because there are so many out there that I visit. Yes, there are handful of common denominators that are shared amongst my peers and friends that I tend to visit everyday, but I’m sure you don’t care to read about those sites. Then again, providing my opinion on one of those sites that are used day-in and day-out by almost everybody who has access to the internet just might be the least bit interesting, maybe? Maybe… At this moment, I have 26 minutes to think about it, write about it and post it before this entry because yet another late one!

I think I’ll go with W3Schools.com. They’re an amazing resource I visit time & time again when I’m stuck on coding or just plumb forgot the right order or terms I’m supposed to use. They have resources for all different types of coding including HTML/CSS, brower scripting, multimedia, XML, server scripting, web services and web building. Not to mention, quizzes to help gauge your capability and knowledge on them! I’m sure I could actually learn how to do most of them if I just sat and read through what they have written completely and practiced. I think they’re beneficial to anyone who’s still a little rusty with coding and such.

A pair of shoes.

I’m kind of in love with heels. I always have been. I don’t wear them often, except when going out for the night. Specifically, I love pumps, both closed-toe and peep-toe. They’re simple and sexy, whether they’re a little more ornate or plain. I love them and have way too many pairs of them! I’m always browsing the shoe aisle at Target, Kohl’s and discount places like TJ Maxx, Ross & Marshall’s to see what cute pairs of heels they have on sale. I’ve even gone as far as buy a pair of Coach pumps for $80¹ at an outlet store. For an example of a pair I’d totally get, here’s a picture and the link to the page on Kohl’s website!

A hobby of yours.

Organizing. I’m on an endless quest to organize things like my website, my music, my documents, important papers & receipts. Even if I feel like I’ve completely tackled one task, I’ll end up wanting to RE organize it at some point down the road. I guess my hobby is busy work that makes me feel productive lol.
