Today hasn’t been a very successful day for me. I hurt a couple of really good friends over something SO not worth it. I had an argument with the husband. I couldn’t talk very well at work 1. Not to mention all the various little things I keep messing up here and there, like my constant spelling & grammar errors, and closing windows I didn’t mean to close. Considering the few bad things I’ve done, I’ll take this as karma kicking my ass. I deserve it, after all.

Thankfully I’ve seen some good out of the negative. I noticed Ashley over at neoncinema.org do this, and I figure I’d go ahead and do something similar :) As a way to improve my happiness, I’ll post things that made me smile and reflect on something other than what brings me down 2. Tuesdays are my Fridays from work, so I’ll take to it then :) Let’s start today, shall we? Well, it’s technically Wednesday now, but only by a few minutes! 7 things, one for at least every day of the week. More if it’s a real good week!

  1. Knowing I have friends who are willing to stand by me and see me improve as a person, even though I’ve hurt them.
  2. Catching up with my good work friend, Yesenia after her two weeks away with her new fiancé!
  3. Hearing Gunny purr the moment she looks at me.
  4. Getting news from my BFF that her baby daddy is now officially her boyfriend.
  5. Receiving news that I have no cavities after almost 3 years since the last time I saw a dentist.
  6. Opening and seeing Veracity thrive in just a few short days it’s been active! We did good, Angel, Jenn & Kristen!
  7. Feeling better after a good ending to an argument with the husband.

The big things can throw us off and make us think nothing is going right, not to mention it makes it harder to see the smaller things that matter and can make us just as happy… So, I’ll point out some good things weekly for as long as I remember to keep it up. Hopefully you’ll be able to do something as equally as beneficial for yourself! Here’s to a better year than the last!

  1. If I can’t talk, I pretty much can’t work.
  2. Even if it is of my own doing.
